We celebrated 100 days of school on Thursday 30 July. We are so proud of our Foundation students who have now been coming to school for 100 days. To celebrate, students came to school ‘dressed to impress’ and participated in activities and celebrations relating to the number 100 throughout the day.

Congratulations to Millie A from Year 4 who recently had her story titled the Baker’s Secret shortlisted as a finalist in the Farrells Bookshop writing competition. Congratulations to Kasper H from Year 4 who recently had his story titled The Island Life shortlisted as a finalist in the Mayors Story Writing competition. These are fantastic achievements for Kasper and Millie, well done on their fabulous efforts with their writing.

Last week I visited Pelican Park Aquatic Centre while our students participated in their water safety sessions. I am very proud of all of our students who participated with enthusiasm in these sessions. Thank you to the parent helpers who assisted with this program, your support is greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank all of the students who reached out and made cards for Krysha, Ms Green and I on World Principal’s Day on Friday 7 August. We really appreciated being acknowledged and feel very lucky to lead such a wonderful school community.

Our Year 3 students had a wonderful experience attending Briars Camp from Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 August. I was lucky enough to visit while they had breakfast and got started with their activities for the day on the Thursday morning. Some highlights that students shared with me included:

Tavi- I am looking forward to doing the leap of faith.

Maya – My favourite thing was the leap of faith. I climbed up the ladder and jumped off one of the platforms. I felt really proud of myself.

We are really proud of our Year 3 students for taking on the challenge of going on camp. Thanks also to our staff and parent volunteers who helped with running the camp.
