I would like to acknowledge all of our Year 3 and Year 5 students who participated in NAPLAN over the last two weeks. We are incredibly proud of your efforts both in preparing and giving your best effort on the day. Parents and carers will receive a report containing their child’s NAPLAN results later in the year.
Last week was geology week in science with students invited to bring along an interesting rock to school that could be part of science lessons. I was able to speak with River F from Mrs K’s Foundation class who brought along a fascinating titanium quartz. I am sure this would have been a very interesting contribution to the geology learning. Well done River on being so enthusiastic about science. Well done also to all students who made last week’s assembly a real ‘vibe’ with group singing of; Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go (WHAM), Holiday (MADONNA), Livin’ On a Prayer (BON JOVI).
Last week I was visiting local Kindergartens and Early Childhood services. During my visits, I was able to read to pre school children the story of Mr Limpy the Koala who sometimes visits our school grounds. This story was written by Kate and illustrated by our wonderful Year 1 students. Well done Year 1 students for your assistance to make the story of Mr Limpy the Koala come to life.
